Q:
Dear HomeGain,
Ever since you introduced the new AgentEvaluator templates, I’ve been having a hard time getting my proposals to show properly. I used to copy and paste from Word but that doesn’t work anymore. Any ideas on what I should do?
-Mark Orem, El Paso, TX
A: Great
question, Mark, as many of our agents who have templates with HTML have experienced
the same type of issue. The new editor can be a bit picky at times when dealing
with existing HTML code. Another editor, such as Microsoft Word, might produce
code that our editor doesn’t recognize as “good HTML”. When
you paste in from Word, our editor tries to correct all of the “bad” code
until the HTML is acceptable. Unfortunately, these changes can sometimes make
the page less visually appealing and unreadable. Solution? We
encourage agents to use our editor to author their templates and proposals.
This editor now allows you to choose your font color, create a bulleted list,
bold a selection, and make many other customizations to your text. It basically
has the same functionality as Word.
We understand that a transition like this can be a challenging process and we would like to offer you our help and expertise. We have a team of trainers and HTML experts on hand that can tackle even the most challenging HTML problems. Please don’t hesitate to call us at 866-512-7918 for assistance or questions regarding the new editor.

“HomeGain is definitely right at the top of my list for preferred marketing products because it not only gives my clients anonymity to feel more comfortable in contacting me, but quite honestly I can choose not to reply to a lead if I feel it is not the right lead for me at the time.
I am so excited about the prospects that HomeGain offers me in regards to cultivating leads and posting listings. I can't imagine not being able to use such a terrific site and the tools it provides. HomeGain has certainly broadened my sphere of potential clients and helped to increase my business each year I have been a member.
My hat is off to Llena Hemsley in Client Services who has always been very available anytime I needed her. Here's to a fantastic 2009!”
